Children's Arts & Literacy Festival
This is a FREE cultural, artistic, and literary event like no other in our community. Thousands of children and their parents attend each year. Attendees have the opportunity to tour the museum, attend storytelling events, participate in arts and crafts, watch musical and dance performances, and experience many other activities.

Ceremony to remember veterans of the battles of Palo Alto and Resaca de la Palma.
Event begins at 4 p.m. with living history programs. Interpreters in U.S. - Mexican War era uniforms will demonstrate camp life, weapons, and drills.
The memorial program begins at 5 p.m. followed by a short ceremony to remember veterans of the battles of Palo Alto and Resaca de la Palma. Luminaria lighting will follow at sunset.
The public is invited to bring a grill lighter and participate in the lighting. Visitors over the age of 12 can assist with the lighting.
