“Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ Made $141 Million This Weekend

–The movie had the fifth-best opening day ever, making $71.9 million on Friday alone . . . although that number is slightly inflated because it counts Thursday’s 10:00 P.M. screenings too.
–But that’s NOT a franchise record. “New Moon” beat it by about $1 million, having made $72.7 million on its opening day back in 2009.
–In terms of the entire weekend, “Breaking Dawn – Part 2′s” $141 million ranks at #8 on the all-time list. And again, the only“Twilight” film that did better was “New Moon” with $143 million.
–Here are this week’s Top 10 movies:
1.) (NEW) “Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2″, $141.3 million.
2.) “Skyfall”, $41.5 million. Up to $161 million in its 2nd week.
3.) “Lincoln”, $21 million. Up to $22.4 million in its 2nd week, after a one-week limited release.
4.) “Wreck-It Ralph”, $18.3 million. Up to $121 million in its 3rd week.
5.) “Flight”, $8.6 million. Up to $61.3 million in its 3rd week.
6.) “Argo”, $4.1 million. Up to $92 million in its 6th week.
7.) “Taken 2″, $2.1 million. Up to $135 million in its 7th week.
8.) “Pitch Perfect”, $1.3 million. Up to $62 million in its 8th week.
9.) “Here Comes the Boom”, $1.2 million. Up to $41 million in its 6th week.
10.) (TIE) “Cloud Atlas”, $900,000. Up to $24.9 million in its 4th week.
10.) (TIE) “The Sessions”, $900,000. Up to $2.8 million in its 5th week of limited release.
10.) (TIE) “Hotel Transylvania”, $900,000. Up to $143 million in its 8th week.
