According to a new study, if you want to stop buying so many clothes, it’s easy . . . just go shopping with a bunch of people who are HOTTER than you.

–The study is in the “Journal of Consumer Research”.  The researchers found that if a woman tried something on at a store and no one else there was wearing it or trying it on, she’d probably like it.

–But if she saw someone with a better body trying it on . . . or a sexier salesperson wearing it . . . she would think it looked better on that person and be MUCH less likely to buy it.

–The researchers say this could be important information for retail stores that require their employees to dress in their clothes.  That could actually HURT sales . . . their good-looking staff could make other women buy fewer clothes.

–The researchers didn’t test the theory on male shoppers.
