Glee creator Ryan Murphy has announced that the adorable Chris Colfer‘s character will be getting an “out and proud” boyfriend for the second season of the hit show!

They’re casting a “male Mercedes” to pair up with the fashionable Kurt in addition to looking for a “sort of Eve Harrington [from All About Eve] to kind of steal Rachel’s [played by Lea Michele] thunder a little” and “an R&B singing teen” who could be a potential love interest for actress Amber Riley‘s Mercedes character.

Glee is coming back on April 13.

We can’t wait to see how the plot thickens!
